DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 6-2 - GAME, SET & MATCH - Emphatic from Djokovic in the end as he closes out to love with an off-forehand winner across court. A small blip at the end of that first set but apart from that the world number one was pretty impressive today. And he goes through to face compatriot Troicki in the fourth round on Monday.

DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 5-2 - Much better from Stepanek this time around as he holds to love to put his second game on the board in this set and force Djokovic to serve out, which he will attempt to do after the change of ends
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 5-1 - Djokovic, on the other hand, needs just 48 seconds to wrap up his service hold to love and sling all the pressure back over the net at Stepanek
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 4-1 - Phew! An absolutely epic game ends with a service winner, a yell of "come on" and a moment of playing up to the crowd from Stepanek as he holds to again avoid the bagel. Djokovic enjoyed a number of break points in that game, which went on for close to 15 minutes (almost as long as the rest of the fourth set), but he couldn't take advantage of any of them
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 4-0 - Another quick and easy service hold for Djokovic as he consolidates the double break ... surely there is no way back for Stepanek now. He simply cannot cope with Djokovic's superior arsenal of shots
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 3-0 - BREAK - Ouch! It's all falling apart for Stepanek now as he is broken both in the first game of the set and then also again in the third. Djokovic is clearly ready to get off court now
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 6-2 - SET - Djokovic races through another service hold to close out the third set and formalise his lead. Stepanek will serve first to open the fourth
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 5-2 - Stepanek battles through yet another tough service hold, eventually taking it to deuce when Djokovic hits into the net. But it does mean, assuming Nole holds to seal the set next, that he will serve first in the fourth
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 5-1 - Djokovic moves to within a game of the second set, and a two sets to one advantage, as he holds with ease when Stepanek fails to land his forehand return of serve in court. Stepanek serving to stay in it next
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 4-1 - Much better from Stepanak as he races through a much more comfortable service game to at least avoid the ignominy of a bagel set against him. He remains a double break down, however, so the set is probably gone for him anyway
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 4-0 - Djokovic tries a couple of forays into the net but decides to stay back again after they fail and hand Stepanek a break back point. But the Serb quickly recovers and goes on to hold when the Czech hits into the net
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 3-0 - BREAK - Djokovic is so completely in control now as he pushes Stepanek from one side of the court to the other and back again, eventually opening up the space and forcing the scampering Czech player to hit his running forehand wide down the line
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 2-0 - Stepanek produces a great backhand passing shot winner that even draws a nod of approval from Djokovic. But it is his only point of the game as Nole goes on to hold and consolidate the early break
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 1-0 - BREAK - Stepanek is left bouncing around in delight after producing a forehand half volley winner down the line. But it is short-lived as he goes on to hand Djokovic a break point before conceding his serve with a forehand volley that drifts wide. Nole leaves him in no doubt what he thinks about it, yelling "come on" and clenching his fist as he returns to the chair
DJOKOVIC 4-6 6-2 - SET - Boom! Another very quick service hold from Djokovic to seal this sencod set, recovering well from the struggle of his last service game, and we are back all square. Djokovic looks firmly in control now with Stepanek's head dropping just a little
DJOKOVIC 4-6 5-2 - BREAK - A first break point goes begging for Djokovic when he attempts to thread a backhand down the line off a drop shot, only for the ball to catch the top of tape and land wide. And a second is also squandered by the Serb before he finally does secure the double break with a cross court forehand winner after the ball sits up in the mid-court for him
DJOKOVIC 4-6 4-2 - Stepanek earns himself a break back point but can do nothing with it as Djokovic comes up with a huge first serve just when it matters. Stepanek's reaction to being caught on the arm with a ball is a bit melodramatic as he throws back his head in pain! He's not really hurt though and Djokovic goes on to hold when Stepanek hits long
DJOKOVIC 4-6 3-2 - Stepanek faces yet another break point but saves it well with a great serve down the centre of the court (Djokovic sending his scrambling forehand return long). Great volleys on back-to-back points helps Stepanek hold and stay in touch
DJOKOVIC 4-6 3-1 - Another love service hold from Djokovic confirms that he is very much back on track with that serve. Just like the first set, until the break that is!
DJOKOVIC 4-6 2-1 - Stepanek also gets things back on track with the most comfortable service hold he has enjoyed yet. The Czech holds to 30 when Djokovic's backhand volley ends up in the net
DJOKOVIC 4-6 2-0 - Normal service resumes on ... well, on serve from Djokovic as he fires down a couple of bullets that leave Stepanek scampering around the baseline in a bid to retrieve the ball. He can't though, or at least not to any great effect and Nole holds to consolidate the early break
DJOKOVIC 4-6 1-0 - BREAK - After all those break points he survived in the first set, Stepanek immediately finds himself facing two more to open the second set after Djokovic slides clay-court style into a backhand passing shot winner down the line. And the Czech does concede his serve this time, dumping a backhand volley into the net
Surely we're not going to have another top seed crashing out of the men's draw? It's a bit too early to make that call yet but Djokovic is definitely in a battle out on Centre Court
DJOKOVIC 4-6 - SET - The defending champ has been so solid on serve so far today and yet faced with serving to stay in the set, it has deserted him completely. He sends a backhand wide down the line to hand Stepanek THREE SET POINTS! And Stepanek does break to LOVE to snatch the first set from Djokovic!!
DJOKOVIC 4-5 - Stepanek does hold, just! It's another hold from deuce for him, the Czech player holding his ground at the net when Djokovic sends his passing shot pretty much right down the centre of the court. Stepanek makes a connection, he probably didn't know too much about that, and the ball bounces back over the net for a winner. Nole will have to serve to stay in this opening set
DJOKOVIC 4-4 - Another quick and easy service hold from Djokovic. Solid so far from Nole, solid if not spectacular. And it's about to be crunch time for Stepanek. Can he hold once again and force Nole to serve to stay in this opening set
DJOKOVIC 3-4 - Another tough service game for Stepanek as Djokovic gets him on the run only to send his forehand down the line long and squander a golden opportunity to set up another break point. And the Czech goes on from there to hold to deuce when Nole hits into the net
DJOKOVIC 3-3 - Djokovic very nearly threads a running forehand passing shot across court to seal another love service hold, only for the ball to catch the top of the tape and not go over. But he does hold again, at the third attempt to 30, when Stepanek sends a forehand long
DJOKOVIC 2-3 - Stepanek appears to be cruising towards a more comfortable service hold, enjoying a 40-15 lead. But Djokovic battles back and fashions a break point before the Czech can recover his composure, save it with a forehand winner and go on to hold and sneak out in front once more
DJOKOVIC 2-2 - Djokovic races through an emphatic hold to love, sealing it with an ace, to sling all then early pressure back over the net at Stepanek
DJOKOVIC 1-2 - Another tough service hold for Stepanek as he is pushed to deuce once more. But an attempted lob from Nole drifts long and Stepanek goes on to hold with an unreturnable serve. Wonder if he would have made a better start in those other shoes???
DJOKOVIC 1-1 - Nole opens with an ace before cancelling it out with a double fault. Nonetheless though he goes on to hold, without the loss of another point, stretching out to his right to dink a neat forehand volley over the net for a winner
DJOKOVIC 0-1 - Finally we are underway as Stepanek battles through an opening service hold. Nothing particularly spectacular from Djokovic but the Czech looks nervy as he is pushed to deuce before discovering an ace to get the scoreboard moving
Yet another small delay as Stepanek is made to change his shoes post warm-up because they don't fit the "mainly white" dress code of Wimbledon. They were more red and blue with hints of white. The whole of the rest of his outfit is white though. Is that being overly pernickety?
Stepanek is not a easy opponent by any means for Djokovic, or anyone in fact; he is a former quarter-finalist at Wimbledon. But Nole does enjoy a 6-1 win-loss record over the Czech, albeit none of those previous clashes have come on grass
Here we are then ... finally a sign of players as defending champion Novak Djokovic leading Radek Stepanek out on to Centre Court. Under the roof remember in a bid to avoid the on-off nature of the rain today
