RADWANSKA 5-7 5-2 PAVLYUCHENKOVA. For the third time today, Radwanska closes the door on a service game with a stone cold ace. This one undoubtedly the most important as she moves to 5-2 in the second set. Meanwhile, the trainer comes on for Pavlyuchenkova as the wheels appear to be falling off for the Russian.


BREAK - RADWANSKA 5-7 4-2 PAVLYUCHENKOVA. A catastrophic double fault from Pavlyuchenkova on break point swings the match well back in the favour of the Pole, who moves up a break in the second set.


BREAK - RADNWANSKA 5-7 2-2 PAVLYUCHENKOVA. Much better from Radwanska as she breaks back to get this second set back on track. Just a few signs in that game that the Pole might have weathered the storm as Pavlyuchenkova, who previously could not miss, hits a couple of unforced errors.


BREAK - RADWANSKA 5-7 0-2 PAVLUCHENKOVA. A brilliant forehand return from Pavlyuchnkova to hold, followed by an impressive foray to the net to consolidate the break.


SET - RADWANSKA 5-7 PAVLYUCHENKOVA. A very good set of tennis all-around, but most impressively from the Russian who controlled the rallies without ever overpressing or losing her head. A long way to go yet, however.


RADWANSKA 5-5 PAVLYUCHENKOVA: Pavlyuchenkova, who is playing so uncharacteristically disciplined today, notches up another hold with great concentration.


RADWANSKA 5-4 PAVLYUCHENKOVA: 9 games in, yet for all the talk of Radwanska being the genius around the net, Pavlyuchenkova has made the net her own while Radwanska continually, incessantly is coming up with big serves on beak point.


RADWANSKA 4-3 PAVLYUCHENKOVA: Radwanska icily brushes away Pavlyuchenkova's resurgence by closing off her service game with another ace.


RADWANSKA 3-3 PAVLYUCHENKOVA: Pavlyuchenkova impressively roars back to level the set in the early stages. An interesting set it is too - over 30 minutes gone and 15 winners have cannoned off the Pavlyuchenkova racquet, yet it's only 3-3.


BREAK - RADWANSKA 3-1 PAVLYUCHENKOVA: Radwanska captures the first break of the match. Far too many errors from her, a completely unsurprising turn of events.


RADWANSKA 2-1 PAVLYUCHENKOVA. In a strange swap of roles, Radwanska closes out her second service game with an ace while Pavlyuchenkova begins her own hold with some silky hand skills at net.


RADWANSKA 1-1 PAVLYUCHENKOVA, The Russian finds herself down a breakpoint but saves it with aplomb - a rasping forehand winner. This proves to be only a slight detour in a solid opening game for the challenger.


RADWANSKA 1-0 PAVYLUCHENKOVA. Radwanska captures the very first hold with litle fuss. Both women slowly feeling hteir way into the match.
