- OnKen SemaWatford
Sema on, Masina off.
Hughes gets on the end of a deep Janmaat cross but can't keep his header down.
A Success flick-on presents Gray with a fine chance and he rounds the goalkeeper, but that allows Maitland-Niles to come across and block his shot. Impressive defending from the youngster.
Masina sends that free-kick straight into the arms of Leno.
Mustafi needlessly fouls Success, allowing Watford to send everyone forward for a free-kick.
Guendouzi gets in down the right but can't find anyone with his cross and Xhaka tests Foster with an effort from range shortly after. The Goalkeeper is equal to it.
Gray sloppily wastes an attacking position, passing nowhere near a team-mate. Arsenal still can't dominate the game.
- OffAaron RamseyArsenal
- OnAinsley Maitland-NilesArsenal
Maitland-Niles comes on for Ramsey - an eye on the Napoli game from Emery?
Iwobi and Ramsey combine on the left and the latter cuts the ball back for Ozil, who attempts a clever finish but can't test Foster.
Janmaat intercepts a cross-field ball, dribbles forward and then passes to Gray, whose poor control allows the ball to run out of play.
So close to a goal of the season contender! The ball is laid off to Masina, 35 yards from goal, and he hammers a shot against the bar.
Mkhitaryan slices wide from the edge of the box. Not his finest few minutes.
Watfrod go down to nine men for a while as Kabasele changes his boots.
- OnIsaac SuccessWatford
Meanwhile, Success replaces Femenia in an attacking Watford change.
- OffKonstantinos MavropanosArsenal
- OnMattéo GuendouziArsenal
Mavropanos makes way for Guendouzi.
It's two chances in two minutes for the Mkhitaryan - this time he hacks wide from 12 yards.
Arsenal have an unbeleivable chance as Iwobi gets past Kabasele to make it a four-on-two breakaway. He keeps the ball for quite a while but has a plan, picking out an unmarked Mkhitaryan at the back post, but Foster saves from point-blank range.
Fotser releases Hughes early, catching Arsenal out, but Hughes then can't find Gray and what was a promising counter-attack comes to nothing.

A high tackle from Capoue sees him booked. That was a bit nasty.

- OffLucas TorreiraArsenal
- OnMesut ÖzilArsenal
Arsenal get the second half started, having brought Ozil on for Torreira at the break.
HT: Watford 0-1 Arsenal. The Gunners lead, having been gifted an early goal and then a numerical advantage, but it's been far from convincing. Watford are still in this.
Ramsey does excellently to find Aubameyang in the bix, who turns into space but then can't get a shot away before defenders arrive to block.
Mavropanos hasn't been good so far but he has been better than Mustafi.
Femenia gets played in on the right and his cross is headed towards beung clear by a diving Mustafi, who ends up winning a free-kick as Doucoure's foot was near his head. The ball wasn't a metre above the ground though, so Doucourse was entitled to be trying to kick it.
Doucoure flicks the ball over Mustafi and Watford look to have a two-on-two break but Gray is then caught offside.
Fair play to Watford, even down to ten men they have been the agressors and are causing Arsenal a lot of problems.
Capoue lines up the free-kick, gets it over the wall and produces a fine save from Leno at full stretch.
Torreira gives the ball away to Hughes, who dribbles 40 yards before being ulled down by Torreira on the edge of the Arsenal box. No booking, which is kind on the Uruguayan.
Masina makes progress down the Watford left but his cross won't quite fall for Gray or Hughes, who is penalised for catching a covering defender.
Gray stands in front of Leno from a second Watford corner and the Arsenal goalie pushes him over as the ball is sent in but the referee doesn't give a penalty. The home fans are understandly upset about that - the kind of the a goalkeeper can get away with but, by the letter of the law, it should have been a spot-kick.
Mavropanos makes a terrible mess of trying to win the ball off Gray and leaves th striker free to run to the byline. Doucoure is the only man supporting him in the middle and Gray can't quite find him but does win a corner.
Torreira is on the floor again and really not making himself popular with the home support.
The red card wil divide opinion. There contact between Deeney's forearm and the face of Torreira, but very little. Is it "violent conduct"? That likely depends what team you support.
Great save, Leno! Masina pumps a free-kick into the box and some dreadful defending sees the ball sit up for Cathcart, who hammers it towards the near post but can't beat Leno, who reacted so quickly.
Torreira getting booed by the home fans.
Iwobi gets free down the left and sends in a low cross for Aubameyang, who sees his shot deflected wide by Cathcart.
Watford's task is now so much harder. As for Arsenal, this could be just the luck they need to end their dreadful run on the road.
- Red cardTroy DeeneyWatford
RED CARD! Deeney is sent off! The Watford man closes down Torreira, who moves the ball on and then goes down holding his face, and Deeney is sent off after the referee consults his linesman. Having only seen one replay, that looks soft - but unnecessary from Deeney to leave his arm in.
- GoalPierre-Emerick AubameyangArsenal
GOAL! Watford 0-1 Arsenal (Aubameyang). Arsenal lead out of nothing! Foster thinks he has more time on the ball than he actually does and his clearance is blocked by Aubameyang, which sends the ball ricocheting into the net.
Watford have started well and dominated possession so far.
Mavropanos concedes a corner which Watford take short. A few crosses in quick succession aren't cleared very far but the home team can't capitalise, with Hughes ultimately scuffing a shot wide.
Janmaat looks to be playing as a third centre-back.
Leno is pressed and forced into giving Watford a throw-in by the corner flag.
Watford get the game started.
Arsenal are in thier green kit tonight.
Just five minutes until kick-off now. Both sets of players are clad in dark jackets and Watford are led out by Deeney, who must be looking forward to testing this new-look Arsenal defence.

Confirmation of where the 21-year-old will play in his first competitive start this campaign.
Arsenal have won just two of their last 12 away games in all competitions. Those wins came against Blackpool and Huddersfield.
The Arsenal team is quite interesting. Dinos Mavropanos makes his first Premier League start of the season and the concesus is that he will be at centre-half, with Shkodran Mustafi playing right-back. Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka return in midfield and Alexandre Lacazette has to settle for a place on the bench.
ARSENAL: Leno, Mustafi, Koscielny, Mavropanos, Monreal, Torreira, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan, Ramsey, Iwobi, Aubameyang. Subs: Cech, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Elneny, Guendouzi, Ozil, Lacazette.
We start with the hosts, who have four changes from the team that came from behind to beat Wolves. Ben Foster, Christian Kabasele, Daryl Janmaat and Adam Masina come into the team, with Gerard Delofeu not fit enough to make the squad. It looks as though Kiko Femenia will play on the right of midfield in a 4-4-2.
WATFORD: Foster, Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Masina, Femenia, Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, Gray, Deeney. Subs: Gomes, Britos, Mariappa, Navarro, Chalobah, Sema, Success.
