The Newcastle fans certainly are not leaving early. What a farewell to the Premier League.

It's 26 years and counting since Tottenham last finished above Arsenal...

CHANCE! Sissoko is played through one-on-one with the goalkeeper... but Lloris stands up tall and makes the save!

What an atmosphere at St James' Park.
SAVE! Sissoko tries his luck from distance forcing Lloris to turn it over the bar with a great save!
An Aston Villa equaliser is now Spurs' best chance of securing second spot. They currently trail Arsenal 1-0...
Newcastle sub: Wijnaldum is replaced by Aarons.

GOAL! Newcastle 3-1 Tottenham - Wijnaldum steps up... and scores! Sissoko was fouled in the penalty area, it was a dubious decision, but Newcastle won't care. It's a long way back for Spurs now.
PENALTY TO NEWCASTLE!
TOTTENHAM SUB! Walker is replaced by Nacer Chadli as Spurs look for an equaliser.
Walker is being booed with every touch now but if the home fans watched a replay of the incident, they would know their player deserved to be sent off. It was wreckless.
CLOSE! Eriksen tries a curled effort from 25 yards but it's just wide of the post. Suddenly the initiative is with the visitors.
RED CARD! After some deliberating, the referee has sent Mitrovic off! After watching a replay, that really is a dangerous tackle and he deserves to go.
A slight concern for Spurs - and England - as Walker is down injured after a late tackle by Mitrovic.
SAVE! This is more like Spurs - Onomah collects the ball in a wide position, he cuts in and shoots but Darlow does well to make the save.
Newcastle fans have made a terrific noise throughout the contest but it's the away fans who can be heard now, for the first time this afternoon.
Newcastle sub: Jonjo Shelvey replaces Tiote.
GOAL! Newcastle 2-1 Tottenham - They've been poor but Spurs are right back in this contest! Lamela smashes the ball into the top corner from a tight angle, Darlow should do better, but Pochettino and Co won't care one bit - they've been given a lifeline!
CHANCE! Davies is unleashed down the flank, he cuts the ball back to Lamela but his shot is blocked and Darlow collects.
Arsenal fans are having a right laugh on Twitter at the moment.
Up steps Eriksen... but the free-kick is blocked by the face of Mitrovic. He's been everywhere today, hasn't he?
Tiote takes one for the team as he drags down Kane from behind and Spurs have a free-kick in a dangerous area now.
The cross is delivered into the penalty area, Darlow is in no man's land but his blushes are spared as a defender heads clear the danger.
CHANCE! Better from Spurs as they work the ball to Dier on the edge of the area but his shot is blocked. The visitors have a corner.
Eriksen, so used to pulling the strings for Spurs, has been largely anonymous today.
STAT! Aleksandar Mitrovic scores and provides an assist in the same PL match for the second time, after the 2-1 win at Spurs on 13 December.
Kane is playing extremely deep at the moment in a bid to link up Spurs' attack, he feeds Walker on the channel but the full back's delivery is dreadful and goes out of play.
Newcastle have started brightly in the second period as Sissoko delivers a cross towards Mitrovic at the near post but Spurs are able to clear.
It's not pleasant reading for Tottenham fans...
We're underway at the start of the second-half. Spurs have made two changes - Joshua Onomah and Tom Carroll replace Mason and Carroll.
HALF-TIME! Goals from Wijnaldum and Mitrovic have given Newcastle a 2-0 lead over Tottenham at the break. As it stands, Arsenal will finish above their north London rivals.

SAVE! Kane picks out Eriksen on the overlap but he can only fire straight at Darlow.
A stoppage in play as Mitrovic and Dier both receive treatment after a clash of heads.
Townsend is ripping his former club to pieces here as he skips past a couple of challenges and delivers a great ball into the penalty area, Dier makes a meal of the clearance and Lloris if forced to punch the danger clear.
GOAL! Newcastle 2-0 Tottenham - The hosts double their lead and surely there is no way back for Spurs now. Townsend has time and space to pick out Mitrovic who is left unmarked to head the ball past Lloris. Awful, dreadful defending.
Newcastle give the ball away cheaply in a dangerous area but again, Spurs fail to make possession count.
Sunderland fans stick the boot in.
Townsend heads clear from a Spurs corner now, it falls to Walker who opts to shoot from a long, long way out and the ball is sent into row-Z.
Townsend - playing against his former team - whips in a dangerous cross but the visitors do well to clear.
If you weren't aware, Newcastle are relegated and Spurs started the match in second. The hosts force another corner and Tottenham have more defending to do.
Kane has been fairly anonymous so far and he has picked up a wide position at the moment in a bid to have more of an influence. He does well to keep possession for his side but again an attacking move fails to materialise as Alderweireld shoots straight at Darlow from distance.
Social media is already going into meltdown.
Another Spurs attack collapses as Dier overhits his cross. The visiting fans look worried and any wonder.
Really disappointing so far from Spurs. The look of frustration on Kane's face tells the story on its own as he is caught offside.
STAT! Georginio Wijnaldum has his first goal in 16 PL games after bagging nine in the previous 22.
Son picks up the ball in a dangerous position but he takes too long and he's soon crowded out by the Newcastle commitment. Where was the Magpies' desire and fight at the start of the season?
The away side simply haven't turned up so far. St James' Park is absolutely rocking. The Premier League will certainly miss this kind of atmosphere next season.
The corner is really poor and Dummett makes an easy clearance at the near post.
Spurs win a corner as they look to respond immediately. As it stands, Arsenal will finish above Tottenham, AGAIN!
GOAL! Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham - Oh dear, Spurs are in trouble, Newcastle have the lead! The visitors fail to clear a cross, Sissoko sends the ball back into the danger area where Mitrovic feeds Wijnaldum who slots the ball past Lloris.
Space opens up for Sissoko in a central position, he has plenty of options in attack but chooses the wrong one as he shoots, it's blocked and the chance is gone.
The chants for Rafa Benitez ring louder and louder around St James'. The boss has watched his side make a bright start.
Newcastle continue their spell of dominance as Mitrovic tees up Townsend for a shot but he blasts it well over the bar.
CHANCE! Janmaat delivers a dangerous ball across the face of goal and only a terrific block by Davies denies Mitrovi who had taken up a great position at the near post.
The hosts are growing in confidence now as they work the ball to Mitrovic on the left, he cuts in and shoots but it's blocked and Lloris can gather easily.
First sight of goal for Newcastle as Wijnaldum produces a shot at goal but it's comfortable for Lloris.
