Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is hopeful of making a quick return to action following his latest injury setback.

City's top scorer was withdrawn at half-time of last week's Champions League defeat at Barcelona with a hamstring problem.

The 25-year-old missed Saturday's victory at Hull and after a five-game lay-off with another hamstring injury in February, there were fears he might have suffered a recurrence.

But manager Manuel Pellegrini has expressed hope the Argentina forward could be back in action within a fortnight and Aguero himself has also said the issue is not serious.

Aguero tweeted: "I'm no longer frustrated about the crick I felt during the Barca encounter that prevented me from giving my best.

"Luckily, the injury is minor and football will always give you a chance for payback. Now focused on rejoining the guys."

If Saturday's clash with Fulham comes to soon for Aguero, City will hope he could be back in contention for the derby against Manchester United on March 25.
