90+4'

FT: Manchester United 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain. An awful night for United with goals from Kimpembe and Mbappe enough to give the French champions a commanding lead in this tie. Pogba's late dismissal means United's task in the French capital for the return leg on March 6 will be doubly difficult. Thanks for joining us. Goodbye.

90+2'

United are losing their heads here, with Shaw the next into the book.

-

DELETE

90'

Huge blow for United to have Pogba suspended for the return leg. Four minutes of added time to come.

89'

CORRECTION! It is Pogba who has been sent off, who earned a second yellow for a late lunge on Dani Alves.

89'

RED CARD! Not quite sure what has gone on here, but Young has been given a second yellow and given his marching orders.

87'

Super, super football from PSG. Who are running rings around United here.

85'

Change for United, with Romelu Lukaku on for Rashford.

83'

Herrera looks to curl on for the top corner, but that is always heading over the top.

81'

Boos from all round as Di Maria is replaced by Colin Dagba for his Champions League debut.

-

He really was excellent.

79'

2-1 in Rome now. Huge away goal. Sub Adrian Lopez has it, volleying home as the ball looped over the Roma defence.

77'

Strange that Romelu Lukaku is yet to have been introduced here, considering United have been so listless.

75'

Change for PSG, with the superb Verratti replaced by new signing Leandro Paredes.

73'

United go from side to side, but cannot pick that killer pass.

71'

Two woeful crosses from Young are greeted by groans from the Old Trafford masses. They just haven't been at the races tonight.

69'

Goal in Rome! Roma have opened the scoring in their first leg clash with Porto. Youngster Nicolo Zaniolo has scored from nowhere with 20 minutes remaining.

-

Loves a trip does Kylian...

67'

Ball works it way through to Shaw, but Dani Alves is there to make the block.

-

Indeed.

65'

SAVE! United are all over the place here, with Young caught out, allowing Bernat to steal in from the angle, with De Gea forced into a fine save to deny the full back.

63'

SAVE! United are struggling to keep tabs on Mbappe here, who races clear, tries to dink the ball over De Gea, but the United stopper stands tall to make the save.

61'

Brilliant from Di Maria, who most certainly will be enjoying this. Two assists for him. The ball across for Mbappe was inch-perfect, and the finish as exquisite as you'd expect from the super-talented Frenchman. United caught cold by a goal of real quality.

60'

GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL!!!! Manchester United 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain. Tie over? Di Maria feeds Mbappe to make to two for PSG.

60'

United cannot string more than a few passes together here.

-

Goals from everywhere!

58'

Herrera scuffs a volley towards goal, but that is always heading wide.

56'

WIDE! Dani Alves comes within a whisker of a second for PSG, but his volley from the edge of the box is deflected just wide off Pogba. That could have gone anywhere.

54'

Poor defending from United, who left Kimpembe free at the back post, with the defender controlling the volley into the net, unmarked. United have been poor in this second half, with PSG very much on top.

53'

GOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!!!! Manchester United 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain. Away goal for PSG with Kimpembe firing into the roof of the net at the far post.

51'

Another yellow card! This time for Lindelof, who pulls back Mbappe.

49'

Rashford whips a super cross in, but there is nobody there to get on the end of it.

47'

Still cagey so far. Kimpembe manhandles Rashford, but somehow doesn't concede the foul.

45'

Another change for United as we get back under way here, with Juan Mata on for the injured Martial.

20:56

Excitement aplenty tonight...

20:53

The only real talking point of the first half was whether Ashey Young deserved a second yellow for his shove on Di Maria...

45+3'

HT: Manchester United 0-0 Paris Saint-Germain. The game has not really lived up to its billing so far, with defences well on top here. United have a few injury concerns to address at half time, with Martial also walking gingerly off the pitch.

45+3'

United aren't going to wait for half time here, with the injured Lingard replaced by Alexis Sanchez.

45+2'

Dani Alves drifts a free kick towards goal, but that is always heading over.

45'

Lingard is down now as we have two minutes of added time to come.

44'

Di Maria, who is fine now, links up well with Bernat, but Young gets back to make the interception.

42'

Lindelof has a strike at goal from fully 35 yards, which kind of sums up the first half here.

40'

Martial will play on for a few minutes more. Di Maria is down now, after going flying into the metal railings at the side of the pitch, helped along his way by Young.

38'

This does not look good for Martial, who looks like his match his over as he hobbles to the touchline for treatment.

36'

The offside flag is up anyway, but De Gea just pulled off a wonderful save to deny Di Maria. Linesmen have been told to delay raising of their flags, which will only add to the confusion.

34'

Another yellow card, this time for Bernat on Young. The referee has been a busy man so far.

-

Blink and you miss him...

32'

Pogba dives in once more on Dani Alves. He has to be careful on a booking.

30'

Young is the next man into the book after hauling Mbappe down. The young hitman has come to life in the last few minutes.

28'

CHAAAAANCE! Draxler pokes the ball through for Mbappe, who has been a spectator so far, but he cannot guide the ball on target with just De Gea to beat on the slide. VAR would have been called into action there, as it was borderline offside!

26'

Pogab is the next man into the book for a lunge at Marco Verratti.

24'

Poor pass from Lingard as another United move breaks down. That final ball from United is missing at the moment.

22'

Fouls are breaking up the play here, meaning neither side can find any rhythm.

-

The transformation has been quite something...

20'

Yellow card from Julian Draxler after ploughing through the back of Ander Herrera.

18'

Super cross from Young puts PSG under pressure, but Kimpembe does really well to head clear.

16'

Brilliant from Pogba, as he bursts down the right, pulls it back for Lingard, but Buffon is down to gather with ease.

14'

Slow pace to the game early on here. United enjoying plenty of the ball but creating very little with it.

12'

Martial is too quick for Presnel Kimpembe, drawing the foul from the PSG defender, earning Kimpembe the game's first caution.

10'

Di Maria swings a cross into the middle, Dani Alves takes a tumble, but the referee is having none of it.

8'

Rashford whips a cross into the middle, it takes a nick of Bernat, with Gianluigi Buffon palming the ball wide.

6'

WIDE! What a story that would have been, but former United man Angel Di Maria curls wide from the edge of the box.

4'

United with all the early possession, but PSG look comfortable in defence.

2'

Nemanja Matic wins the ball back and sets Jesse Lingard away, but he is fouled by Marquinhos.

We are up and running here on what promise to be a momentous evening....

19:58

So here we go. Ten wins in their 11 games since Solskjaer took over has brightened the mood around Old Trafford, with fans arriving tonight filled with anticipation rather than dread. PSG are running away with Ligue 1 again, and were the top group stage goalscorers in this season's Champions League, navigating their way out of a tough group that included Liverpool and Napoli. This is a real test for Solskjaer, but he has risen to every challenge so far. We are minutes away!

19:47

Causing a stir...

19:42

Solskjaer told reporters at his pre-match press conference that United fear nobody - a far cry from the latter stages of Mourinho's tenure: We've given ourselves the best possible opportunity because of the way we've come into this game," said Solskjaer. "We're confident and we're looking like a team. If there was ever a time to go into big games, it's now. I think the squad is very capable of winning against any opponent."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping the Old Trafford crowd can help Manchester United on Tuesday
19:38

PSG fans in the house early doors here...

19:36

PSG have won only one of their 10 away games in all competitions against English opposition (D4 L5). It was a 2-1 victory against Chelsea in March 2016 in the round of 16, the last time they progressed through a knockout round of the Champions League.

19:32

Just to add to the drama this evening...

19:23

DB: "Alright, mate! What have you been up to? OGS: "Ah, not much."

19:22

HEAD TO HEAD: This will be the first competitive encounter between United and PSG. Four of the last five two-legged encounters between teams from England and France in the Champions League knockout phase have seen the French side progress. No French team has ever beaten United away from home in European competition (D4 L10). In the Champions League, only two French sides have avoided defeat at Old Trafford: Monaco in March 1998 (1-1), Lille in October 2005 (0-0).

19:20

RASHFORD AND MARTIAL START, ALVES A FORWARD: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has again shuffled his pack, making five changes to the side that won at Fulham at the weekend. In come Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Jesse Lingard, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford. Romelu Lukaku drops to the bench. Thomas Tuchel seems to be deploying Dani Alves, one of the most famous full backs in the world, as a wide forward, in Neymar's absence. Kylian Mbappe will lead the line. There is very little in the way of experience on the PSG bench.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Coach Mike Phelan of Manchester United congratulate Marcus Rashford after the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Hello and welcome to our LIVE text coverage of the first leg of Manchester United's Champions League last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain from Old Trafford. No Neymar and no Edinson Cavani for the visitors, who visit a United side who can do no wrong at the moment. There's still plenty of attacking firepower in the PSG ranks, but this is an altogether different United side than when the draw was made. Something has to give! I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!
