There's no room for Mohamed Salah either...

Xherdan Shaqiri has played with and against some of the greatest players in world football.

He was involved in Bayern Munich's historic treble-winning campaign of 2013 and on Tuesday night he takes on his former club with high-flying Liverpool in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Ahead of the meeting between the two European giants, German TV show Sport1 asked the Swiss international to submit his 'Dream XI'.

Surprisingly, the line-up only included two of his current Liverpool team-mates, with top-scorer (and King of the Kop) Mohamed Salah missing out on a spot.

Team-mates Virgil Van Dijk and Andy Robertson managed to make up half of the defence, while the rest of the Liverpool squad was snubbed by the 27-year-old. Awkward.

The line-up included three of the current Bayern Munich side, with Manuel Neuer between the sticks, creative midfielder Thiago Alcantara in the centre of the park and prolific-goalscorer Robert Lewandowski leading the line.

There was even space for Liverpool fans' number one enemy and serial shoulder dislocater, Sergio Ramos.
