Tuncay cut loose by Wolfsburg
Turkey forward Tuncay Sanli has had his contract with Bundesliga club Wolfsburg terminated by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old still had two-and-a-half years left to run on his deal, signed when he joined from Stoke City for £4.5 million in January 2011.
However, then manager Steve McClaren was sacked a week later, and Tuncay only made four appearances for his new club between his arrival and the end of the season.
By that time, Felix Magath had been put in charge, and Tuncay was loaned to Bolton Wanderers. Despite spending the whole season at the Reebok Stadium with his third English club, Tuncay made only three league starts for the Trotters and failed to score for them in the competition as the club was relegated.
Tuncay has 81 caps for Turkey, and has scored 22 goals for his country
