Now you can. All throughout London 2012 Triathlon Live will offer Olympics fans the chance to try out their endurance with live hubs based at eight of the Live Site locations around the UK.
The 'Give it a Tri' series will allow wannabe triathletes to experience just what it feels like to go through the event, and if the going gets too tough fans will be able to turn their attention to the on-site big screens displaying the action and cheer on Team GB's athletes, including triathlon medal prospect Alistair Brownlee.
Bristol (Millennium Square), Cardiff (The Hayes), Coventry (Millennium Place), Edinburgh (Festival Square), Leeds (Millennium Square), Leicester (Humberstone Gate), London (Hyde Park - as part of BT Live), and Manchester (Exchange Square) will be where Triathlon England's 'Give it a Tri' stalls will be set up.
A state-of-the-art Endless Pool with a simulated current which will be adjustable to all levels of swimming ability will provide participants with their primary challenge, while cycling and running on the latest equipment will complete their triathlon challenge.
Triathlon Live, a joint initiative run by the International Triathlon Union, British Triathlon and London 2012, will run at the aforementioned sites from August 4-7 and is completely free and open to the public.
