Wilson joins Northampton Saints

Northampton have signed former Bourgoin, Highlanders and Chiefs centre James Wilson.

The powerful 28-year-old New Zealander, who stands 6ft 5in tall and weighs 14st 6lbs, can also play fly-half and full-back.

"James is an experienced player who has shown his abilities on both sides of the world," Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder said.

"He reads a game well, brings other players around him into the play and has a strong kicking game too."
