After conceding three early tries Widnes briefly looked like getting back into the match as Ben Cross scored, but Wigan scored two more to lead 28-12 at the break despite Joe Mellor's effort just before half-time.
And Wigan cut loose in the second half to avenge their shock defeat by Widnes in March.
