Mile Jedinak of Australia celebrates scoring his team's second goal with his teammates during the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil

Australia
Overview

Australia’s reputation as a footballing nation continues to rise with many impressive results in the last few years, notably the victory over England in February 2003, which made headlines all around the world. The 'Socceroos' have managed just one appearance in the FIFA World Cup finals, way back in 1974 in West Germany. With the finals once again being held in Germany in 2006, Australia will once again be looking at a case of history repeating itself and the chance to show its talent on arguably the greatest sporting stage in the world.
