Dundee get Rangers' SPL share
The Scottish Premier League has officially confirmed the transfer of Rangers' SPL share to Dundee.
Rangers have been sent into the Third Division after entering liquidation and, having finished second behind promoted Ross County last season in the First Division, Dundee have taken their place.
Dunfermline expected to be given a reprieve after suffering relegation from the SPL last season but the governing body announced in July that it was Dundee who would be elevated into the top flight.
Now the process has been officially confirmed and Dundee given full SPL rights.
A statement from the SPL read: "At eight minutes past ten this morning, the member clubs unanimously approved the transfer of Rangers' SPL share to Dundee Football Club."
The SPL season kicks off on Saturday with Dundee travelling to Kilmarnock.
