Wolves are the only team from last season’s Premier League in the draw for the round, which takes place the week commencing August 13.
Last season’s beaten finalists Cardiff City travel to Northampton Town, while 2010/11 winners Birmingham City take on Barnet at St Andrew’s.
Charlton Athletic, impressive League One champions, face local rivals Leyton Orient. Sheffield Wednesday travel to Oldham, while Sheffield United have a home draw against Burton Albion.
League Two newcomers Fleetwood Town have earned a glamorous tie at home to Nottingham Forest, while fellow promoted side York City travel to Doncaster Rovers.
The Cup, which is now sponsored by Capital One, was won last season by Liverpool.
