FULL TIME: Atletico 3-0 Osasuna. Despite two late penalty misses Atletico Madrid claim a comfortable 3-0 win that tightens their grip on third place in La Liga and sets them up nicely for the midweek clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. It was never in any real doubt.

PENALTY SAVED AGAIN! This is just getting silly now. Atletico Madrid have spurned another spot kick, with Sirigu this time making a save from Thomas to keep the score 3-0.
ANOTHER PENALTY KICK TO ATLETICO MADRID! This is incredible! This time it's a handball.
PENALTY SAVED! Carrasco stepped up to the 12 yard mark looking to secure his hat-trick, but Sirigu guessed right and made the diving save to his right. Another missed Atleti penalty.
PENALTY KICK TO ATLETICO MADRID! Correa goes down under the challenge of Sirigu and the referee points to the spot.
SHOULD HAVE SCORED! Correa did so well to create the chance for himself, wriggling through the challenges of two defenders, but he sends his shot wide of the far post. Should have hit the target.
Indeed, Savic was fortunate to get away with that. Leon is now receiving some treatment after receiving some rough treatment from the Atletico Madrid penalty area. Referee didn't see it.
Tiago's return from injury could be a huge boost for Atletico Madrid at the most important point of the season. Simeone will be thankful that he can call on the Portuguese again.
In fact, it was actually Cerci, not Carrasco, who surged through the Osasuna team a few moments ago only to be stopped by Correa. The Italian was moving, but was halted by his own teammate.
Well, that was a little embarressing. Carrasco surged all the way though the centre of the Osasuna midfield, but Correa got in his way as he moved into the final third. Awkward.
All of a sudden the tempo from this match has dropped. Atletico Madrid realise this game is now won and are passing it among themselves with complete ease. Dead as a contest.
Correa just couldn't get the ball under control, getting it stuck under his feet. Had he looked to his right he would have seen Cerci making a run into the box completely unmarked.
- OffNicolás GaitánAtlético Madrid
- OnAlessio CerciAtlético Madrid
Here comes Cerci and the Italian striker gets a huge reception from the Calderon crowd. He's a bit of a cult hero.
This win will put Atletico Madrid 10 points off the top of the Liga table. The middle part of the season really cost them. Had they tightened up their form at that stage they might have been challengers.
That change suggests that Torres will start for Atletico Madrid at the King Power Stadium next week. Simeone opted to field the veteran striker for the first leg against Leicester as well.
- OffFernando TorresAtlético Madrid
- OnTiagoAtlético Madrid
Indeed, there's the change from Simone and Tiago gets a standing ovation from the home fans as he makes his return.
It looks like Tiago might be about to come on for Atletico Madrid. He has been out of action for four months. He will bring a bit more control and composure to the Atleti midfield.
Of course, Atletico Madrid will travel to England to face Leicester City in the second leg of their Champions League quarter final. Simeone has played this game with one eye on that.
For the first time in the match Thomas gets the chance to stretch his legs and drive into the opposition half, but in the end he makes the wrong choice and Osasuna come away with it.
- OffFilipe LuísAtlético Madrid
- OnStefan SavicAtlético Madrid
Simeone makes a change with Luis coming off to be replaced by Savic. He'll go into the centre of defence and Hernandez will move across.
This match couldn't have gone any better for Atletico Madrid. They are three goals to the good and have managed to rest a number of key players in the process. Positive afternoon for them.
This game is as good as finished, but Atletico Madrid are playing with more intensity and tempo than they were in the first half. I think Simeone wants his team to put down a marker.
At 2-0 up it looked like Griezmann was about to come on for Atletico Madrid, but the French striker has now sat down on the bench again. Has Simeone changed his mind?
That goal means that Luis has now scored three times in his last three appearances. The Brazilian full back isn't normally one known for his goalscoring, but he's in great form.
- GoalFilipe LuísAtlético Madrid
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Atletico Madrid 3 (61 mins - Filipe Luis) Osasuna 0. Luis was afforded so much space inside the Osasuna penalty area and made no mistake in sweeping home a right footed finish to put Atletico Madrid three goals to the good.
WHAT A SAVE! Carrasco picks out the run of Torres at the back post with a wonderful, deep cross, but Sirigu sticks out a hand to make the save from the striker from a tight angle.
Atletico Madrid have been in exceptional form of late, leaping above Sevilla into third place. It's too late for them to make a title challenge, but they can still win the Champions League.
Osasuna make a double change, but it's going to take more than that to get them back into this game. This team lacks quality, lacks organisation and lacks motivation. Really poor.
Sometimes it just doesn't want to go in for Torres. He did everything right there, keeping his shot low, getting plenty of power on his effort, but Sirigu still made the stop to deny him.
TORRES SHOT ON GOAL! The Atletico Madrid striker gets on the end of the low cross from Luis into the box, but Sirigu was on hand to make the save with his legs. Good effort.
- Yellow cardOierCA Osasuna
Oier can't really complain about that. He dragged back Carrasco as the Belgian surged through the midfield.
Osasuna really stopped fighting months ago, accepting their fate. They will be relegated from La Liga this season and this listless performance demonstrates why. They offer very little.
This is all very comfortable for Atletico Madrid, and so the fans inside the Vicente Calderon are creating their own party atmosphere. They are airing all theur favourite songs.
The Atletico Madrid fans give Simeone a standing ovation for no apparent reason, and the Argentine responds by clapping the home supporters. They love him here at the Calderon.
He now has 14...
Griezmann had been told to warm up at the start of the second half by Simeone, but he might be told to sit back down again after that second goal from Carrasco. Not really needed.
The Osasuna players in the tunnel before the start of the second half were urging each other to start strong, pass the ball better... but that plan is already in tatters, conceding a second after just two minutes of the restart.
- GoalYannick CarrascoAtlético Madrid
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Atletico Madrid 2 (47 mins - Yannick Carrasco) Osasuna 0. Atletico Madrid have doubled their advantage right at the start of the second half. Carrasco got to the back post and headed home a cross from close range.
Carrasco's first half goal is the difference between the two teams, with Atletico Madrid well on top. It seems inevitable that they will claim three points from this match, but how many will they score?
- 2nd Half
The second half is under way at the Vicente Calderon! Atletico Madrid are 1-0 up over Osasuna.
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Atletico Madrid 1-0 Osasuna
Again, apologies for the delay in bringing you updates from this game. More technical problems. We're going to try and sort them properly at the half time break.
- GoalYannick CarrascoAtlético Madrid
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Atletico Madrid 1 (30 mins - Yannick Carrasco) Osasuna 0. The hosts have taken the lead and that had been coming for quite some time! Carrasco takes aim from the edge of the box, finding the bottom corner of the net with a low drive.
The pressure is starting to mount on the Osasuna goal! Atletico Madrid are turning the screw on the Liga basement boys. How long before the hosts find the opening goal?
- Yellow cardJosé María GiménezAtlético Madrid
That's a yellow card for Gimenez, and it's a deserved one. He was very late in the challenge.
This is a big opportunity for Correa. He has shown time and time again this season that he can make an impact coming off the bench, but can he do the same from the start for Atletico?
Why is Juanfran slinging crosses into the penalty area anyway? Correa is leading the line for Atletico Madrid this evening, and he's hardly going to get on the end of them, is he?
Juanfran sends a cross into the penalty area from the right wing, but it's far too close to the goalkeeper, who has the simple task of coming off his line and making the catch.
Having said that, there's no sense of frustration or impatience at the Vicente Calderon. They're quite comfortable with the way things are at the moment, with Atletico dictating things.
Atletico Madrid have been on top early on in this match, but there has been a real lack of tempo and urgency from both sides. The hosts are missing Griezmann in the final third.
Apologies for the delay in bringing you updates from this game. We have some technical problems on our end, but they should be sorted now. Yes, we turned it off and on again.
Thomas has come into the Atletico Madrid starting lineup for this match with Simeone resting so many of his key players. This is a chance for the youngster to make a real impression.
Osasuna sit at the foot of the Liga table, as good as relegated. They have very little to lose and they have actually started this match the better of the two teams, knocking the ball around.
At this stage of the season the games come thick and fast in the Champions League and so Simeone has taken the decision to rest up a number of his best players ahead of next week's second leg.
Simeone has dropped a number of key players for this match, with Griezmann the most noteable absentee. Although 'dropped' isn't really the right term. They are being rested.
Of course, Atletico Madrid come into this game on the back of the 1-0 win over Leicester City in the quarter finals of the Champions League during the week. They have one foot in the semis.
