Gonzalez returns to Madrid with Rayo

Former Spain U21 winger Adrian Gonzalez has joined Rayo Vallecano from relegated Racing Santander.

Gonzalez, 24, returns to his native Madrid on a free transfer following Racing’s relegation.

He had spent two seasons at Racing, who he joined from another Madrid side, Getafe.

The left-sided midfielder came through the ranks at Real Madrid but never featured for the senior team, spending time on loan at Celta Vigo and Gimnastic.

He scored three goals in 58 Liga appearances for Racing.
