Luis Boa Morte has left Chesterfield following the end of his short-term contract at the club.
Former Portugal international forward Boa Morte, who played in the Premier League with Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham, made the surprise move to the League Two side in October.
The 35-year-old made nine starts and four substitute appearances during his time at the Proact Stadium.
Spireites manager Paul Cook said: "Luis has been a model professional during his time with us and we thank him for his efforts but we have decided against extending his stay."
