Bos, 28, sprinted to victory ahead of the Slovakian sensation and his own team-mate Mark Renshaw, who rounded out the podium.
The Dutchman won last year’s edition of the race formerly known as the Veenendaal-Veenendaal, his fifth victory of the season.
An early six-man breakaway was reined in with five kilometres left, leading to a sprint finish.
Former track specialist Bos is a five-times world champion but the last three years have seen him add a selection of road titles to his palmares.
This has been his most successful season on the road so far, with two stages on the Tour of Turkey, the Dwars door Drenthe race and a stage on the Eneco Tour in the bag before Friday’s race.
He joins compatriots Wiebren Veenstra and Steven de Jongh on two career wins of the race.
