Jade Dernbach has been released by England on compassionate grounds following the death of his friend Tom Maynard.

Dernbach's Surrey team-mate Maynard died in the early hours of Monday morning after he was hit by a London Underground District Line train at Wimbledon station. He was 23.

Bowler Dernbach, 26, has been replaced by Warwickshire all-rounder Chris Woakes for the remainder of the one-day international series against West Indies.

Woakes, like Dernbach, is primarily a fast bowler. He has played four one-dayers, the most recent of which was against Ireland last August.
